Univertsity of Chicago: Department of Economics

Undergraduate Program / RA Jobs/Career Planning

Research Assistants

Research Assistant positions are beneficial for those considering graduate studies after their college years. These positions help one develop the analytical skills needed in graduate studies besides providing a clearer picture of how research is pursued in an academic setting.

Several research positions are available each year in the Department of Economics, Graduate School of Business and the National Opinion Research Center (NORC).

Some research positions require data entry skills only which are good positions for first and second year college students. Third and fourth year students typically have the coursework completed that makes them eligible for more analysis based research positions.

Students interested in being considered for a Research Assistant position should self-subscribe to the Research Assistant listserv. All research job openings are listed on the listserv.
