Roberto Apelfeld is Senior Vice President and Head of Insurance Quantitative Solutions at Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions. Previously, Roberto was Head of Client Solutions and Head of Global and non-US Risk Management  at Western Asset Management, a Franklin Templeton company. Prior to that, he was Managing Director and Senior Investment Officer at Citigroup Asset Management and Vice President in the Capital Markets Research group at JP Morgan Investment Management.

Roberto holds a PhD in Economics from The University of Chicago, an MSc in Applied Mathematics from the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics, IMPA, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a BSc in Systems Engineering from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
