Ayan Bhattacharya is an Associate Instructional Professor in Economics and the College whose research interests span finance theory, game theory, market design, computer science and mathematical logic. His work often draws on ideas from computer science and mathematical logic and applies them to questions in economics and finance. Ayan has a Ph.D. in financial economics from Cornell University and a master’s in applied math from Stanford University. Prior to his current role, Ayan served in the industry in senior capacities at trading firms and fintech startups and was a faculty at the City University of New York (Baruch College) and Chicago Booth.
